Description / Asatsuyu - Japan

Here is an unexpected tea - black from Japan. The leaves resemble some classic Japanese (green) teas, thin and slightly crumbly. The taste can perhaps be described as somewhere between keemun and darjeeling, i.e. aromatic and slightly cocoa-sweet with a slightly sour note of lemon.

If you like light flavors, you can try two brews on the same leaf. Then shorten the time slightly on the first brew.

Mild and reminds me of Japanese "milk tea"

I almost never drink black tea - especially if there is something else to choose from. Tried this and now I find it hard to live without it.

I think it's nutty, no bitterness. Works both with and without milk, at least the first brew.
