Description / Makaibari SF FTGFOP 1,

Among the ecological role models in Indian Darjeeling, we find the Makaibari plantation. Rajah Banerjee, a fourth-generation plantation owner, saw as a young man that something had to be done about erosion and the poisoning that was going on. It was not a business story, but was about survival. Makaibari is one of the region's finest plantations, and produces some of the best teas. Organic for a long time, they are now a benchmark for other plantations to relate to.

Here we have a second harvest tea, good and full-bodied at a really great price.

I find it difficult to distinguish this tea from boiled water, and this applies to Darjeeling in general. I brew for five minutes at 20 grams of tea per liter of water. Still, the result is flabby. Am I really alone in this experience?

Tea Central answers: Darjeeling tea is known for its light flavor. If you like stronger flavors, Assam, for example, is a better choice.
