Earl Grey tea - the classic flavor

Earl Grey is undoubtedly Sweden's most common tea variety. Originally it was black tea flavored with oil from a citrus fruit, bergamot. The name comes from an English nobleman, the second Earl of Grey, who is said to have received the tea and its recipe as a thank you for saving the life of a Chinese princess. The story is very dubious, but why investigate a good story....

Nowadays, other teas are also used with Earl Grey, such as green tea, or perhaps rooibos. People have also been experimenting with broadening the taste of bergamot by adding more citrus flavors, such as oil from orange, lime or lemon. Here we have collected our entire range of earl grey tea, i.e. tea flavored with bergamot. Some are true classics, while others are more "modern" versions.
