Japan – a living culture around green tea

In Japan green tea is the natural choice. The most common variety is called sencha. Almost all Japanese green teas are steamed, in contrast to the Chinese that are roasted in a pan. This renders the Japanese teas a deep green color and a fresh grassy taste.

The Japanese powdered tea matcha has grown increasingly popular, and is as delicious as invigorating.
