It probably started out as the tea world's equivalent of bark bread, diluting the expensive green tea with the slightly cheaper roasted rice, but is now a tea variety in its own right. Easy to like and easy to have as a thirst quencher or meal drink. Combines perfectly with lighter dishes, fish and chicken. Quite simply, this is a tea that you can drink a lot of, without getting bored. Grown in southern Japan, Kagoshima, from where we import it directly. It is grown without pesticides and fertilized mainly with crops from surrounding fields.
