The quince is a tree that produces remarkable fruits. The fruits are aromatic but most varieties are too hard to eat raw. Quince has been cultivated in Europe since the 13th century, and is the original type of fruit for marmalade. The word marmalade is said to come from its Portuguese name marmelo. The quince is also grown for its beautiful pink flowers.
A really fruity tea, some say like a combination of pear and passion fruit - you decide!
