The challenges have been many in India's Darjeeling tea district, and this year's harvest is the smallest on record. Despite this, it is possible to find really good first flush, the first picking with its characteristic florality.
This year's Singell is floral, creamy and slightly sweet. Well worth putting some care into the brewing to get the best flavor. Keep the temperature down slightly (around 85°C) to make it bloom.
