Description / Taiping Houkui
In more ways than one, this is one of the great Chinese teas. It has been cultivated on the north side of Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) in Anhui Province since the turn of the last century, and has won several awards.
The leaves are large, flat and strongly green, the brew is light yellow with a floral scent. The taste is clean and fresh. Very good in the summer!
Extra info: Taiping (太平) is a place name, which roughly means "Great Silence". Houkui (猴 魁) roughly means "Monkey King".
