Description / Korea Hadong Black

Korea's finest teas are grown at the foot of Mount Jiri-san. Korea produces only small amounts of tea, and black teas, known in Korea as balhyocha, are very rare. This exclusive black tea is made from the Chinese variety of the tea bush, camellia sinensis. The leaves are picked by hand and then gently oxidized.
The lightly twisted leaves have a natural aroma of cocoa and produce a red, aromatically sweet but light brew. Undoubtedly one of the finest teas in our range, which we think you will appreciate.

My favourite tea of all time!

This tea is really, really special. The rich, reddish colour, the smell, the taste - it is pure perfection. It has a hint of chocolate notes that are subtle enough to tease, and I don't find any bitterness in it at all - even when I brew for a long time. I think it's worth the hefty price, and I drink this when I feel like having a special treat. I hope that others don't get discouraged by the price tag, and I hope that this tea will always be restocked!
