Green tea with a rich, strong jasmine flavor. The base is a fine leaf green tea, flavored with fresh jasmine flowers in several batches. The jasmine flowers are removed after the tea has transferred its flavor and aroma to the tea leaves. Slightly sweet and floral, it also has an herbaceous note.
Every time we add a jasmine tea to the online store, we think about whether it is pure or flavored. On the one hand, it is flavored with jasmine flowers. On the other hand, it's such a classic flavor, and is so deeply ingrained in Chinese tea culture, that we don't think of it as a flavored tea.
When we drink this, it brings back memories of bygone days from fine restaurants in Beijing. It makes a great mealtime drink, but it can also stand on its own.
