When we wanted to make our own tea blend that combines the Swedish and the Asian, this idea came up: A tea with flavors that can be found here in Jämtland. We usually say that it is an unexotic tea. A bit like a reflection of the landscape, with flowers and berries. As a base we have a nice black whole leaf tea from Sri-Lanka (Ceylon), aromatic and not too dominant.
But what would we call our creation? When Jan (co-founder of Te-Centralen with Amanda) was growing up, Peterson-Berger's music could often be found on the turntable in the Jämtland home. Wilhelm Peterson-Berger came from Ångermanland, but fell in love with Jämtland, and built a house for himself on Frösön overlooking the Storsjön lake and the mountains. Among other things, he wrote a series of piano pieces that he called Frösöblomster - "Flowers of Frösö Island". It's a fantastic name, and so Frösöblomster® became our tea tribute to the place where Te-Centralen is located.
This is our most popular tea blend. You don't get tired of the taste easily, and it's also a popular gift, especially in a tin.
