Description / Morning kick

A very rich and strong whole leaf tea. This type of tea is sometimes called East Frisian blend, as there is a particular fondness for strong, Assam-based tea blends in northwest Germany. East Frisians are known to be among the world's largest consumers of tea, consuming 3 kg per capita per year (the average for Sweden is around 400 grams.) If you also like strong flavors, you'll understand why they like it...

Morning Kick is a tasty and strong tea, which can also withstand a splash of milk for those who prefer it. In Ostfriesland they drink their tea with cream and candy sugar.

If you want to try it too, here's how to do it:

  • Put Morning Kick in a pot; 12 grams/6 teaspoons per liter
  • Pour over boiling water and let it steep for 3-5 minutes
  • Put a piece of candy sugar in each small cup
  • Pour tea into the cup, but next to the sugar so it doesn't melt
  • Add a teaspoon of cream at the edge, but do not stir.

Really good breakfast tea
Review by Saga
Very rich, excellent for breakfast. Round taste and just the right amount of strength.
Good tea just as it is
Review by Elsa
Very good tea just as it is without milk, honey or anything else. A tea to look forward to when you wake up.
Enjoyable morning tea
Review by Ami
I have tried some of the organic black teas and this is currently the favorite. It is so rich and flavorful that I want without being bitter.
Not so exciting
Review by Nils J Lundgren
Thought of it as a breakfast tea, but didn't think it was very interesting, despite the good tea flavor
